obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

obsessive-compulsive disorder or OCD is a disease common, cronic and long lasting that can affect to child, young and adult.
the symptoms of this disease are obsessions , compulsions  or both. these symptoms can interfere in the work, personal relationship and marking at the university or school.
obsessions are mental images that cause anxiety. The  common symptoms include fear of germs, aggressive thoughts towards otrhers or self,  fear of contamination, having things in a perfect order .
compulsions are repetitive behaviors that a person with OCD feels the urge to do in response to an obsessive thought for example excessive cleaning and handwashing , compulsive counting and in more serious cases repeatedly checking on things, such as repeatedly checking to see if the door is locked or that the oven is off

the treatments to combat this disease are the pharmacotherapy and cognitive behavioral treatment.
the first treatment consist in the use of antidepressants for example Prozac or also called fluoxetina, Celexa and Paxil, all of those antidepressants are serotonine recapture inhibit.
And the second  treatment consist  in the exposition of the persons to combat anxiety.
